Our story

Plumbers Amsterdam was founded by Sonny Las van Bennekom, and started in the basement of an estate agent in Amsterdam, after he completed a four year apprenticeship in Plumbing, with just a second hand van and a bag of tools in 1987.

Established over ten years ago we have a long history of serving the homes and businesses of the Dutch capital. We are a company defined by a strong ethos – quality workmanship, fast response times and transparent pricing.
Over our thirty years in business, we’ve grown from a single unit to now incorporating more than 3 bases throughout Amsterdam – it is this structure that enables us to promise a response time of 60 minutes, and mean it.

Plumber Amsterdam had a vision then to remove the stigma associated with the plumbing industry i.e plumbers with bad workmanship, who turn up late, rip off the customer, driving rusty old vans, not wearing uniform and arse’s hanging out their trousers.
